When these homeowners purchased their new home, they saw plenty of potential. With a new baby on the way, they wanted a space that felt brighter, more open, and better suited to everyday family life.
To bring in more natural light, the Rosewood team centered and enlarged the kitchen window, a change that required both structural modifications and exterior siding work. The homeowners also had several functional goals for the kitchen, including improving the cooking and microwave setup and incorporating the existing Viking refrigerator into the new design.
To achieve a seamless look, Rosewood custom-built refrigerator panels to integrate the appliance into the cabinetry. Additionally, a microwave drawer was installed in the base cabinetry, freeing up space above the cooktop for a dedicated hood vent and creating cleaner sightlines throughout the kitchen.
The finished kitchen features new ZLINE appliances, quartz countertops, custom cabinetry solutions, pendant lighting, under-cabinet lighting, and refinished hardwood floors.
Today, the space feels larger, brighter, and more purposeful. The expanded window, improved lighting, added storage, and thoughtful appliance layout have transformed this kitchen into one that supports the way this family actually lives while delivering the warm, timeless aesthetic they envisioned from the start.
